Whalsay Airstrip (gravel surface) (EGEH)

Description

Whalsay Airstrip is located at the village of Skaw in the northern end of the island of Whalsay, Shetland, Scotland. It is the only airfield serving the island and is available for charter flights. The landing surface, which is 18 m (59 ft) wide and 457 m (1,499 ft) long, is constructed from rolled gravel. (see Wikipedia)

Installation-Informations:

  • The artificial runways can be hidden, which is often useful for grass / gravel runways and/or for all runways if high-resolution images of the airfield are available. It is sufficient to rename the affected runway files, e.g.:
    • heli1_obj.tmb__OFF
    • rap……m….m_rwy.tmb__OFF
