Stronsay Airport (EGER)

Description

Stronsay Airport (IATA: SOY, ICAO: EGER) is located 15 nm (28 km; 17 mi) northeast by north of Kirkwall Airport on Stronsay, Orkney Islands, Scotland. It is licensed for flights for the public transport of passengers or for flying instruction as authorised by the licensee (Orkney Islands Council). The aerodrome is not licensed for night use. (see Wikipedia)

Installation-Informations:

  • The airfield is situated on a slope and is slightly sloping and uneven.
  • The artificial runways can be hidden, which is often useful for grass runways and/or for all runways if high-resolution images of the airfield are available. It is sufficient to rename the affected runway files, e.g.:
    • heli1_obj.tmb__OFF
    • rap……m….m_rwy.tmb__OFF
