Glenforsa Airfield (grass runway) (X6MU)

Description

Glenforsa Airfield is a 780 m (2,560 ft) grass airstrip near Salen on the Isle of Mull for private light aircrafts. Loganair operated a scheduled service to Glasgow in the 1960s. The airstrip has been operated since 2014 by Brendan and Allison Walsh, owners of the adjacent Glenforsa Hotel.

Installation-Informations:

  • The airfield is situated on a slope.
  • The artificial runways can be hidden, which is often useful for grass runways and/or for all runways if high-resolution photos of the airfield are available. It is sufficient to rename the affected runway files, e.g.:
    • heli1_obj.tmb__OFF
    • rap792m33m_rwy.tmb__OFF
