Courtelary Aerodrome (LSZJ)

Description

The Courtelary aerodrome is a pure glider aerodrome, ideally located in the Saint-Imier valley between Bienne and La Chaux-de-Fonds. It is operated jointly by the Biel gliding group and the Courtelary sailing group. Airmen from the Courtelary Aeromodelling model also use the space as a base. The place is ideally located for long distance flights on the "race track" between the Black Forest and the Rhône Valley. Trips to the Alps and to France are also part of our route directory. In 2010, we modernized the aerodrome with treads that allow aircraft towing with environmentally friendly Ecolight aircraft. The above description has been prepared by IPACS forum user Tomfa.
