Flugplatz Coburg-Brandensteinsebene (EDQC)

Description

The airport Coburg-Brandensteinebene approved as a landing site, is located above the Coburg Fortress, in the midst of a low mountain landscape between the Thuringian Forest, Röhn and Fichtelgebirge.The airfield was opened in August 1913 as a military air base by Duke Carl Eduard with an aircraft hangar. It is now owned by the city of Coburg. Operator is since 2001 the Aero Club Coburg e. V. The airfield had approximately 15,500 take-offs and landings in 2011 and can be approached on a runway of over 632 meters in length with aircraft up to a maximum take-off weight of 5.7 tons. Due to the plateau location of the airfield and the very short runway, the Brandenstein level is a mission airfield of the Bundeswehr. He is flown to the training of take-offs and landings of the Luftwaffe of the Bundeswehr with a Transall C-160. The above description has been prepared by IPACS forum user tommydee58.   2. Download EDQC.zip file to your DE folder and unzip to folder EDQC/
  3. Download xref_lib_water_towers.zip to My PC > Documents > Aerofly FS2 > scenery > xref and unzip to folder xref_lib_water_towers/ (only do this once and it applies for all FSCP airports
  4. Go Fly!
