Vicksburg (KVKS)

Description

The Airport is a General Aviation Airport which serves private, business, and corporate tenants and customers. The airport is located seven miles south of the City of Vicksburg, one mile east of the Mississippi River. The facility has a 5,000 foot runway (01 and 19) which has a 300 foot displaced threshold on 01 and a two hundred foot displaced threshold on 19. The Airport contains seven City-owned buildings that consist of thirty aircraft storage hangar units, a newly remodeled 2,450 square foot Terminal building, and an aircraft maintenance facility. The airport owns and operates a 25,000-gallon aviation fuel storage facility, dispenses fuel via two tank trucks. The airport has approximately 30 based aircraft.
