RAF Linton-on-Ouse (EGXU)

Description

RAF Linton-on-Ouse opened in 1937 as a bomber station, and was also used by the RCAF in WW2. Post war it became a fighter base, and then a training station in 1957. Currently, flying training is being transferred to RAF Valley, and Linton will likely close in 2020. The above description has been prepared by IPACS forum user KJKsimmer.
