Bastia Propreta (LFKB)

Description

After the liberation of Corsica, the airfield serves as the air base for the Twelfth Air Force of the United States Army Air Forces. It is then one of the 17 airfields that account what was nicknamed the USS Corsica. Contrary to what is mentioned in the stele located at the entrance to the current terminal, it is not from Poretta that Antoine de Saint-Exupery will take off for his last mission but from the ground just north called Bastia-Borgo.
