DescriptionDorothy Scott Airport is a public international airport in Oroville, Washington, United States—a city in the Okanogan region, it is located 2 miles northeast from the town center, being owned by the City of Oroville. Dorothy Scott International in Oroville, WA is one of only two airports named for a woman who was part of the World War II WASPs. The WASPs flew almost every type of military aircraft including the B-26 and B-29 bombers. In 2010, each WASP received the Congressional Gold Medal. Scott, an Oroville native, died during her term of service and the airport was named in her honor. The above description has been prepared by IPACS forum user moxeetwo.
