It is owned by St. Tammany Parish and located six nautical miles (11 km) southeast of the central business district of Covington, Louisiana. The nearest town is Abita Springs. St. Tammany Regional Airport covers an area of 42 acres (17 ha) at an elevation of 39 feet (12 m) above mean sea level.
