Glassonby Airfield (grass runway) (GB-0166)

Description

Glassonby Airfield is a small airfield to the north east of Penrith. It has two grass runways, 18/36 (450m) & 05/23 (350m) and is perched on top of a hill at 600ft ASL in the Pennine foothills. (see The Rowley Estates)

Installation-Informations:

  • The artificial runways can be hidden, which is often useful for grass runways and/or for all runways if high-resolution images of the airfield are available. It is sufficient to rename the affected runway files, e.g.:
    • heli1_obj.tmb__OFF
    • rap……m….m_rwy.tmb__OFF
