DescriptionUsually referred to as the "Downtown Airport" the General DeWitt Spain Airport was the replacement for the existing GA airport located on Mud Island. That airport was replaced by Interstate 40 right of way and an elevated bridge section. The airport does not have a control tower, but pilots operating out of the airport can receive radar service from KMEM radar. The above description has been prepared by IPACS forum user JetJockey10.
