Sumburgh Airport (EGPB)

Description

Sumburgh Airport (IATA: LSI, ICAO: EGPB) is the main airport serving Shetland in Scotland. It is located on the southern tip of the mainland, in the parish of Dunrossness, 17 nm (31 km; 20 mi) south of Lerwick. The airport is owned by Highlands and Islands Airports Limited (HIAL) and served by Loganair. (see Wikipedia)

Installation-Informations:

  • The artificial runways can be hidden, which is often useful for grass runways and/or for all runways if high-resolution images of the airfield are available. It is sufficient to rename the affected runway files, e.g.:
    • heli1_obj.tmb__OFF
    • rap……m….m_rwy.tmb__OFF

Navigation-Informations:

  • The navigation charts (aerodrom, IFR and VFR) can be downloaded from this site:
    • NATS — AERONAUTICAL INFORMATION SERVICE

    • click on "+ AD 2 AERODROMES" (left sidebar)
    • click on "+ EGPB SUMBURGH" (left sidebar)
    • click on "AD 2.24 EGPB CHARTS RELATED TO AN AERODROME" (left sidebar)
